Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using LegacyFileConverter ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Software.

Upon purchase of a valid license, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Install and use the Software on the number of computers permitted by your license
• Use the Software for personal or commercial purposes
• Receive maintenance updates within the same major version

The free trial of LegacyFileConverter provides full functionality for a limited evaluation of up to 25 file conversions. After the trial limit is reached, you must purchase a license to continue using the Software.

You may NOT:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the Software except as expressly permitted
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
• Rent, lease, lend, sublicense, or resell the Software to third parties
• Use a single-seat license on more computers than your license permits
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
• Use the Software for any unlawful purpose

The Software and all copies thereof are proprietary and title remains with us. All rights in the Software not specifically granted under these Terms are reserved. The Software is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.

The Software may include third-party components that are provided under their own licenses. The applicable notices and license terms for those components are included with the Software and are available from within the application's About screen. Your use of those components is governed by their respective licenses.

Payment: Purchases are $99 (USD) as a one-time license and are processed securely through our payment provider. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Refund policy: We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the Software for any reason, contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. After 30 days, refunds are provided at our discretion.

The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that every file will convert with perfect fidelity.

In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, resulting from your use of the Software. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software.

LegacyFileConverter performs all file conversions locally on your computer. We do not have access to your files, and your documents are never uploaded to any server. You are solely responsible for the content of your files and for maintaining appropriate backups before and after conversion.

Your license includes maintenance updates within the same major version. Major version upgrades may require a separate purchase or upgrade fee.

This license is effective until terminated. Your rights will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of the Software in your possession.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the Software after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
